My Books - General Information
I am in the process of writing a series of books for Blackwell Publishing. These are introductory guides for the student or general reader, but will also be detailed enough to provide a thorough grounding in the subject. They are:
- A Beginner's Guide to Descartes's Meditations - (available: published in November 2007).
- A Beginner's Guide to Nietzsche's Beyond Good and Evil (available for preorder).
- Knowledge and Reality: A Beginner's Guide to the Theory of Knowledge (forthcoming: due for release August 2009).
- A Beginner's Guide to... (forthcoming: topic yet to be decided - suggestions welcome!).
If you want to purchase copies of the Descartes guide, or preorder copies of the Nietzsche (which will definitely be available in December 2008), then please see the ordering information at the bottom of this page. I have already begun work on the 'Knowledge and Reality' book (the title is still provisional), but you should bear in mind that - if past experience is anything to go by - the release date may yet change. As you can see, the fourth title is yet to be confirmed, but current candidates include: Hume, Plato, and moral philosophy. If you are a teacher or a student, and have any strong preference for any of these (or any others on the new A level syallabus), then please contact me.
